<p>MA Industrial Design asks its students to be strategic, respond to trends, and critically  initiate new design approaches within the our field.</p>


<p>Industrial Design is typically perceived as the process of design applied to the development and manufacture of products for mass production and consumption. But, while Industrial Design practice might exist to drive production and consumption in a commercial and typically object orientated paradigm, this is not its only application. As a course MAID questions what industry is today, the impacts of design practice and the role and agency of the industrial designer by engaging in a broad range of contexts and  complex challenges. </p>
