Using creative coding and AI tools, this experiment allows plants to share their life experiences on social media, fostering inter-species communication. “An interesting, strong concept and approach, opening a dialogue around interspecies communication and the role of AI. I liked how they were using existing social media platforms to make this accessible. A fashion photography series that merges conventional photography with AI-generated imagery in post-production, consider how this medium will evolve within the near future.“In the context of fashion photography, this project looks at how generative AI can be a collaborator and a tool in the process. The Next Step in Fashion Photography

A proposition for a metaverse recreation of Beirut&#39;s port, where in 2020, a huge explosion caused mass death, serious injury, damage and displacement in the city.“Michela explores how virtual space can help us remember and interact with places that have been lost or changed significantly, in this case due to the devastating explosion that occurred at the Port of Beirut in 2020. A project researching how interactive evolutionary computation (IEC) can be used within the creative process by an application combining an IEC model and traditional drawing methods.“I am always interested in ways in which emerging technologies inspire future creative processes and how this interacts with traditional methods and craft. I liked Halla’s exploration of this collaborative tool that doesn’t end with the computational output but gives the individual users agency to adapt and personalise for their own workflows. Creative IEC Application

A collection of &#39;concrete poems&#39; written in code. Also known as &#39;shape poetry&#39;, concrete poems emphasise the visual presentation of words when they are arranged in a certain way.“It’s interesting looking at how the experience differs across devices – which I think this project does – when normally we try, by contrast, to optimise for devices. Cross contamination of technology and biology by placing memory SD cards into petri dishes used to grow bacteria.

Technology is, currently, impermanent.
