This project aims to make scrolling more mindful by using a sound experience intervention to help users find physical and digital life balance and activate their senses beyond the screen. &quot;This invention sounds like something we all need to do: get out of the digital world and create some different forms of connections. Sounteract

Through a series of clay making workshops, this project encourages open conversations around home and migration while creating a safe space for engaging with it. &quot;We all want to belong and feel seen. That is at the root of my own view of collaborative practices. I am a trustee at Migrateful, a charity which works with refugees and asylum seekers through cookery classes. The notion of breaking bread together is very appealing as an invitation to connect. Cooking together is perhaps our most basic and warmest form of collaboration, so this beautiful idea of clay making workshops, which also involves your hands, allows for people to ‘do something’, create something, while chatting. A local traditional games fest experience centred around preserving cherished traditions through a playful approach by using readily available materials in the park like twigs, leaves, stones etc. to play the games. &quot;When we talk about collaboration, we are talking about looking at things from a different perspective. Timeless Play

Inspired by community story mapping experiences such as Queering the Map and [murmur], the London Breadcrumb Project unflattens the emotional landscape of present-day cities and encourages a psychogeographical exploration of unfamiliar urban environments. &quot;Looking down at our phones wherever we are is the opposite action to inviting collaboration and connection. This, on the other hand, brings you new voices and new ways of seeing your city. We can often feel too lost in our own worlds, so seeing the same place through other stories can be comforting, adventurous and more. I bet you would just HAVE to tell someone else about the experience and that is more than we can say about using Google Maps every day.&quot; – Isabel Sachs, Founder of I LIKE NETWORKING

The London Breadcrumb Project

Hotel key card showcasing a story that we heard from a night shift worker in the hotel industry in London.

This project is an empathetic critique and a call to action, offering night shift workers a voice. It explores the unique challenges these workers face, from disrupted sleep patterns to social isolation, through the lens of critical, speculative, and discursive design. &quot;This project is so striking. The visual is immediately recognisable but eerie, making you stop and consider what&#39;s missing . The key cards with stories are a brilliant touch, a simple idea that could be expanded to many different aspects of society where people may feel ignored. The team behind this also had to collaborate not only with each other but with those they wanted to highlight so the project in itself enacts collaboration.&quot; – Isabel Sachs, Founder of I LIKE NETWORKING

After Hours - A critique of night-shift work.

A social media movement aimed to inspire young women to get real about their appearance and how they feel by posting candid stories about their mental health while they get unready on TikTok and Instagram. &quot;The way the world objectifies and polices women&#39;s bodies is an enormous issue and can still feel like such a taboo. Using teenagers and young people&#39;s own communication channels to dismantle this and bring more voices to the forefront can make us all feel less alone. As someone who considers herself an eating disorder survivor, this really spoke to me. It&#39;s that old saying which is a cliche probably because it is true: if you want to go far, go together.&quot; – Isabel Sachs, Founder of I LIKE NETWORKING

Open Conversation

A reimagination of the famous poem Gitanjali, written in 1901 by the Indian poet Rabindranath Tagore, as a magical leaf which travels across time and place, dedicated to helping and healing all the companions she encounters along the way. &quot;I am a sucker for books. They are my happy place. I also have some of my fondest memories travelling in India, so I was immediately taken by this project which imagines a poem from 1901 as a magical leaf healing people that it encounters along the way. I once worked on a play which had a phrase like this ‘life is made up of encounters’ and I can&#39;t agree more with that. Not only did the duo behind this create something magical and bring history back to the forefront but they also brought this to life in India. A curated exhibition that serves as a platform for emerging artists to showcase their work, while producing a community of creatives to bridge the gap between students and industry. &quot;There&#39;s nothing NOT to love about this. I see arts and culture as a place for belonging and connection. Through ideas, images, stories and also an IRL place to meet others. A magazine aimed at expanding the perimeter of culture by introducing and overlaying the work of multidisciplinary, emerging and established voices. &quot;Is there anything more purely collaborative than people coming together to make something that for so long has been a symbol of revolution and new voices? Magazines and zines have been such a marker of my growing-up years. I still bond with women over the stuff we read in teen magazines or discovering a new band or author in some other publication. As someone from South Americal myself, I thought the connection between London and Mexico City was brilliant.
