Mind's Eye VR is a Virtual Reality-based mindfulness experience influenced by the teachings of impressionist art theory and the emerging field of Neuroaesthetics. It seeks to provide a unique mindfulness experience within a whimsical, impressionist forest environment, while combining impressionist theory and the benefits of natural environments as evidenced in existing neurological research. My project is an immersive alternative to mindfulness that gives a digital audience both agency and autonomy over their mental health. It challenges and encourages a new way of traditional mental wellbeing by using the concept of uncertainty as a foundation for creative exploration and awakening our inner child.
