My collection is inspired by costume. My characters, through what they wear tell the beginnings of a story that I hope to continue in the future. So far we have ‘The Mother, The Goddess, The Creator’, she births the world. ‘The scene’ who literally sets the scene. Then ‘the Goat Coat’ who signifies the offering, eager for transformation.

The skirt of the scene is made up of a patchwork of knits, illustrating a hilly landscape. The top illustrates the sky, knitted in a shades of blue. The structure is held out using wire and acrylic rods, heated and bent into shape.

The dress top is a wool and alpaca mix knit, felted in the wash and dyed blue. 

The skirt base is a lambswool knit, felted in the wash adorned with sculpted babies hand felted on top. The babies are composed of cashmere, alpaca and silk with neon pink airbrush detail around the edges. The rest of the skirt is needle felted by hand.
