Cringe is an independent magazine exploring shame and self-consciousness through writing and art.

In this age of IRL surveillance and URL self-consciousness, there is a sense of always being watched and pressured to perform. Cringe wants to help others confront uncomfortable experiences, while also intellectually engaging with our shortcomings without judgement or shame.

My own pieces have centred around the role of shame during the AIDS crisis and activism, green guilt and eco-shaming, metaphysics of the self and interdependence, and designing better frameworks for living and working.
