Distributed currents is an AR immersive theatre experience set along the Regents Canal in London. It addresses the current dilemma of the decentralised metaverse, and taking the decentralised community on the canal as a case study and test site. The audience discover the narrative through a fun AR adventure along the canal with their mobile devices.

This project targets professionals working or researching in metaverse and XR-related industries. The narrative shifts their focus from viewing the metaverse as a 'financial product' to considering what truly matters for building a sustainable metaverse as an extension of our real lives.
