Noisy Neighbour is an interspecies socialising system. In this experimental practice, human technology is used to help plants to join social media to autonomously share their life experiences, feelings, characteristics, and stories. A series of environmental sensors are helping to monitor plants’ living conditions, and through creative coding, Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools such as GPT-3 can translate plants’ experiences or stories into a human language.
Based both in Khadija’s Garden on Hoxton Street and on Twitter, this project mainly faces community residents, plant lovers, and curious users on social media. Plants themselves are also the deservedly important audience as well.
