MAATI is an affordable, energy-efficient, locally manufactured air-conditioner and humidifier designed specifically for countries such as India, where the summer climate can be excessively hot and arid. This innovative design draws inspiration from the past while shaping our future. Our existing cooling solutions perpetuate a detrimental cycle whereby the use of air conditioners emits greenhouse gases, exacerbating global warming and resulting in hotter, prolonged summers, thus perpetuating the need for air conditioners.

The product incorporates the intrinsic qualities of terracotta, a material traditionally utilized for water cooling purposes throughout history. Additionally, a canvas component acts as a moisture-absorbing mechanism, prolonging the wetness of the terracotta. The terracotta and canvas unit is supported by a plastic base, housing a fan that facilitates the circulation of cool air through flower-shaped vents.
