Emotify: Bridging the Empathy Gap in a Tech-Saturated World. "Emotify" is a wearable notification tool that alerts the wearer’s entourage of sudden changes in their mood or emotions. Technological advancements, such as the printing press, radio, phones, and Wi-Fi, have revolutionised human-to-human communication. However, these technologies sit in a space between people and filter human perception based on their own set of rules and limitations. Digital communication has minimised the role of senses responsible for building empathy, leading to decreased empathic capacity and hindering the development of interpersonal relationships. "Emotify" aims to enhance face-to-face interactions by amplifying and highlighting nonverbal cues, enriching the overall experience and promoting the development of richer interpersonal relationships.
