"Why don't you get rid of guns?" Is the first question I receive as an American living abroad. My project, Welcome to America, goes into the reality of gun violence in the United States and the reality that it brings to American culture. Throughout this project you will see a satirical and dark tone, that gives a realistic view on gun violence through real life material. My audience will embark on an in-flight simulation to the United States and will learn a gun safety procedure through a series of physical and audio material. The importance of this project is to keep individuals safe while visiting the United States but also critique the alarming rate of gun violence.
