You are already more than just a spectator when you see this work. However, the participants who accompanied the designer Ziyi and witnessed the results of her self-healing. As a long-time obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) sufferer, She strives to alleviate the mental and physical discomfort caused by the disorder by repairing imperfect objects.
Ziyi perceives this project as a journey of self-redemption, healing from the process of repairing and reassembling these broken stones and giving them new functions.
In our increasingly diverse society, attention towards mental health disorders has improved markedly in recent years. In addition, methods of treatment have evolved beyond merely prescribing pills and regular counselling.
Ziyi aims to transform OCD treatment from a complex medical disorder to an accessible, everyday product. And aspire to alleviate patients' anxiety and resistance towards OCD treatment, potentially improving therapeutic outcomes.
The final products in this collection, Stone, Wenge wood, Brass, and Resin, are used as materials. By simulating the core 12 gestures in traditional Chinese massage. Design and create a set of movable Massage tools for different body parts. To create a self-healing tool for individuals with OCD.
