I am Arrow, a female fashion image and digital media artist rooted from China. My creations are deeply inspired by traditional Chinese culture, mythology, and mysticism, aiming to ingeniously blend these profound elements with female identity and feminist issues through modern visual language. I believe that art is a bridge between history and reality, tradition and modernity, serving as a powerful medium to explore and express both personal and collective identities.

My graduation project 'Nüwa' draws inspiration from the traditional Chinese myth of Nüwa creating humans, that integrates traditional and modern perspectives in its creation.

Nüwa, an ancient Chinese goddess known for her extraordinary creativity and divine power, fashioned human figures from clay and imbued them with her divine essence, thus creating mankind. This story not only reveals the imaginative ideas of ancient China about the origins of humanity but also symbolizes the boundless creativity and wisdom of women. Therefore, I believe that the image of Nüwa provides a powerful role model for modern Chinese women, showcasing their ability and potential to change the world.

In this work, I envision a hypothetical narrative framework: If Nüwa were to exist in the contemporary world, how would she shape and protect modern Chinese women? Through this narrative setting, the film explores the deep meanings of women's roles and identities, aiming to inspire audiences to rethink the role and power of women in today's society.
