This research aims to identify the factors influencing the successful implementation of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software solutions in small to medium-sized fashion enterprises (SMEs). PLM, a comprehensive software designed to manage a product's entire lifespan, has the potential to increase efficiency and competitiveness in the fast-paced fashion industry. However, SMEs face significant challenges due to limited resources. The study uses a positivism philosophy and deductive approach to theory, adopting a mono-method quantitative approach. A conceptual model was created based on a literature review, hypothesizing the relationships between successful PLM software implementation and four factors: employee, planning & risk management, leadership & organizational culture, and technology.

The findings suggest that employee, planning & risk management, and leadership & organizational culture variables do not influence successful PLM software implementation. Technology, which focuses on data security, sufficient IT infrastructure, and interoperability, has a positive influence on PLM software implementation. The study also found that the size of the company does not affect the success rate of PLM software implementation.
