SENSORY FUSION: THE DISPROPORTIONATE BODY

Womenswear graduate from London College of Fashion.

Gaining inspiration from fashion philosopher Kiyokazu Washida’s theory in the book, in combination with early personal childhood memory, I aim to discover and re-establish the relationship between objects and the body by engaging the use of inanimate objects in tactile design.

The aesthetic vision is achieved by modernizing and re-defining craft and technique with technology. Unconventional household objects were salvaged and used as functional components to enhance the multi-sensory experience for the wearer, including telephone cord, curtain tape, corrugated cardboard, and foil balloon. The objective of the innovative design and production of versatile garments is to challenge the fashion norms within the industry and potentially initiate a new way of hybrid design.

Thus creating a brand that is nostalgic, playful and timeless.
