This project explores intersection between spaces and clothes. It questions and challenges the patriarchal family structure inscribed in the architectural space and the close entanglement of space, body and femininity. Based on the research of how chinoiserie promoted the construction of modern female identity. Re-enacting and deconstructing the history of the chinoiserie as a which came to be associated to the metaphorical representation of women’s fragility and vanity. The design process celebrated hand craft and technology through leather wet mould, wax casting, foundry, and laser cut. It aims to create surreal hybrid of colthes combined with components and structures of chinoserie furniture and hardware.
