Xinyu Xie

This collection is an exploration and reflection of Xinyu’s own life growing up in different countries. The project is inspired by flowers, shells and tea sets. Natural colors are extracted as matching elements. ‘Photographs and tangible items serve as the optimal mediums for preserving and conveying memories. These objects have no value in themselves but the memory gives them value. Living in different cities has brought me to explore different perspectives of the colourful world. I want to convey through the medium of my special memories of objects.’
