Memories are not frozen in time, they are woven through every moment after, the people, the places, the feelings. My Main collection was an exploration into my grandmother. I wanted to capture the essence of who she is now while still honouring the memories and stories of the past that got her where she is today. I explored the abstract idea of memories by putting back together the ones that are lost physically but remain as stories that she tells about her life. She is a person who fills her home in a very maximalist style, yet every piece is significant to her and has so much history behind how it got there, these pieces and the stories behind them are what drove the direction of this collection.
